U sklopu projekta „HEARTS“ u Podgorici održan okrugli stol pod nazivom „Prekograničnom saradnjom do poboljšanja položaja djece i mladih sa smetnjama u razvoju“
„Udruženja roditelja djece sa teškoćama u razvoju Podgorica“, organiziralo je dana 24.10.2025.godine u Podgorici okrugli sto na temu „Prekograničnom saradnjom do poboljšanja položaja djece i mladih sa smetnjama u razvoju“. Skup je okupio predstavnike državnih institucija, lokalnih samouprava, međunarodnih partnera i organizacija, organizacija civilnog društva i stručnjaka iz oblasti socijalne zaštite, obrazovanja i zdravstva.
Razvojna agencija Žepče i JU „Dom zdravlja sa stacionarom Žepče“ kao projektni partneri na projektu „HEARTS“ bili su aktivni sudionici okruglog stola te su tom prilikom predstavili dosadašnje rezultate projekta za područje općine Žepče, kao i ulogu razvojnih agencija kao potpornih institucija u osiguravanju financijskih sredstava za razvoj lokalne zajednice.
Cilj okruglog stola je bio da se kroz razmjenu iskustava i primjera dobre prakse ukaže na značaj prekogranične saradnje u unapređenju položaja djece i mladih sa smetnjama u razvoju, te da se dodatno osnaži partnerstvo između institucija i organizacija koje djeluju u ovoj oblasti.
Tijekom radnog dijela skupa predstavljene su aktivnosti i rezultati projekta “HEARTS”, koji se realizira uz podršku partnera iz Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine i Crne Gore. Partneri su prezentirali primjere dobre prakse i uloge u unapređenju sistema podrške djeci i mladima sa teškoćama u razvoju.
Rezultate postignute u dosadašnjem periodu realizacije projekta je predstavio Tomislav Knežević, voditelj centra za mentalno zdravlje pri JU Dom zdravlja sa stacionarom Žepče. Dodatno angažirano stručno osoblje, edukacije stručnog osoblja kao i nabavljena oprema su omogućili da se značajno smanje liste čekanja za djecu, kao i da se osigura pružanje usluga u područnim ambulantama.
Razvojna agencija Žepče ima ključnu ulogu u jačanju lokalnog ekonomskog razvoja općine djelujući kao poveznica između javnog, privatnog i civilnog sektora, pružajući podršku u pripremi i realizaciji projekata iz područja poduzetništva, zdravstva, socijalne inkluzije i edukacije. Primjeri poput projekta „HEARTS“ pokazuju kako Agencija uspješno privlači EU sredstva za konkretne potrebe zajednice.
Učesnici su u diskusiji istakli potrebu za daljim jačanjem institucionalne saradnje, unapređenjem dostupnosti usluga rane intervencije, te većim uključivanjem roditeljskih udruženja u procese planiranja i sprovođenja javnih politika.
Na kraju skupa usvojeni su zaključci kojima se preporučuje nastavak i širenje prekograničnih inicijativa poput projekta “HEARTS”, kao i kontinuirano jačanje međusektorske suradnje s ciljem stvaranja inkluzivnijeg društva za svu djecu.
Ovaj skup je još jednom pokazao koliko je važno da institucije, roditelji i stručnjaci djeluju zajedno. Samo kroz partnerstvo i razmjenu znanja možemo osigurati da svako dijete dobije podršku koja mu je potrebna, bez obzira na to gdje živi.
Okrugli sto je završen u konstruktivnoj atmosferi, uz poruku da se jedino zajedničkim djelovanjem može osigurati kvalitetniji život i bolja budućnost za djecu i mlade sa teškoćama u razvoju.

As part of the “HEARTS” project, the round table „Cross-border cooperation to improve the position of children and young people with developmental disabilities” was held in Podgorica
The “Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities Podgorica” organized a round table on October 24, 2025, in Podgorica on the topic “Cross-border cooperation to improve the position of children and youth with developmental disabilities”. The meeting brought together representatives of state institutions, local self-governments, international partners and organizations, civil society organizations and experts in the fields of social protection, education and health.
Development agency Žepče and Public institution “Medical center and the infirmary” Žepče as project partners in the “HEARTS” project were active participants in the round table and on that occasion presented the results of the project for the area of the municipality of Žepče, as well as the role of development agencies as supporting institutions in providing financial resources for the development of the local community.
The goal of the round table was to highlight the importance of cross-border cooperation in improving the position of children and youth with developmental disabilities through the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice, and to further strengthen the partnership between institutions and organizations operating in this area.
During the working part of the meeting, the activities and results of the “HEARTS” project, which is implemented with the support of partners from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, were presented. The partners presented examples of good practice and roles in improving the support system for children and youth with developmental disabilities.
Tomislav Knežević, head of the mental health center at the Public institution “Medical center and the infirmary” Žepče, presented so far achieved results in the project implementation period. Additional hired professional staff, professional staff training as well as purchased equipment made it possible to significantly reduce waiting lists for children, as well as to ensure the provision of services in regional clinics.
The Development Agency Žepče plays a key role in strengthening the local economic development of the municipality by acting as a link between the public, private and civil sectors, providing support in the preparation and implementation of projects in the fields of entrepreneurship, health, social inclusion and education. Examples like the “HEARTS” project shows how the Agency successfully attracts EU funds for specific community needs.
In the discussion, the participants emphasized the need for further strengthening of institutional cooperation, improving the availability of early intervention services, and greater involvement of parents’ associations in the processes of planning and implementation of public policies.
At the end of the meeting, conclusions were adopted recommending the continuation and expansion of cross-border initiatives such as the “HEARTS” project, as well as the continuous strengthening of intersectoral cooperation with the aim of creating a more inclusive society for all children.
This meeting once again showed how important it is for institutions, parents and experts to work together. Only through partnership and knowledge sharing can we ensure that every child gets the support they need, regardless of where they live.
The round table was concluded in a constructive atmosphere, with the message that only joint action can ensure a better quality of life and a better future for children and youth with developmental disabilities.
